Social Networks Web 2.0

Social networking platforms may be considered as a form of web 2.0. This is web concept that gives users opportunities to share content with as many or as few people as they like. The concept may vary depending on the social network within this aspect. Web 2.0 may allow content posted to be picked up by search engines easier, while giving users unique leverage with their content. The content can be anything from articles to videos. A person or group has a centralized location to keep their content that would remain online for a very long time.

A prime example would be a blog. A blog can be considered a social network platform or it can be connected to a social media page. A user can share content on a regular basis, but they would have authority in how their content is picked up by search engines. Maybe the article or comments would provide leverage in how the content as a whole gets picked up when someone conducts a search online. Web 2.0 is also known for allowing people to have an idea of how much content they are subscribed to at any given time.

Web 2.0 allows people to comment on stories, news and other article content online from any location. You may have seen this at the bottom of an article, except in some cases you do not need a password and user name to login and comment. Web 2.0 has elements that have made newer social networks more distinguishable from others. For instance, you may be able to watch videos on one site, but on another you can read content based on what other people vote on.

People get more control of content they want to see and what appears before an audience. The technology behind it may be complex, but its multiple purposes seem easy enough for others to want to take part in it. Some question the staying power of Web 2.0 since some social networks have lost interest in users. There are some drawbacks to using this service, but depending on your interests you may find where your content fits in. With this concept you can share ideas, products, services and opinions on a platform you have control of. Just keep in mind you may have to share your control with other users depending on the layout of the social network or platform in questions.
