2010 Georgia Tech Captains Named
Georgia Tech Lacrosse is pleased to announce its 2010 Team Captains. Senior Joe Gibson and three Juniors, Casey Timmerman, Sam Karpowicz and Zack Gassman lead the Yellow Jackets into the 2010 season.
Gibson is a third year player from Atlanta and one of the starting midfielder’s for Tech. Gibson combines the ability to play both ends of the fields with consistent skill and effort.
Timmerman, from Dublin, Ohio, settles in at attack this season as the offense’s rover and quarterback. His ability to settle the offense down but yet be a lethal threat in transition gives Tech a go to player. Gassman is the voice of the young defense.
Hailing from Annapolis, Maryland, Gassman brings a strong presence and leadership to the respectively young defense. His strong one on one defense and skillful stick handling can lead to some great transition offense for the Jackets.
Finally, Karpowicz, the returning all conference goalie anchors the always tough Tech defense. His leadership and solid goaltending will be a major impact on the success of the Yellow Jackets this season.
