Fight On: SC Lacrosse Season Underway
Here we go. The SC lax blog is officially underway.
My name is Corey Janoff. I’m a senior midfielder for the USC Trojans. Last year in school; last season of lacrosse; why not blog about it? Throughout the season, I’ll give you some insight into my perspective on how the season is going, both on and off the field. I’ll try and get some pictures, videos, and links up as well.
I guess the purpose of this blog is to tell you what SC lax is all about and promote the team/school a bit. Depending on the popularity of this, it could be a great marketing and recruiting tool…is there any way to get a hit counter on this thing? I’m thinking if we can get 10 readers per week I’ll be happy, haha.
We’ve been practicing for the last two weeks now, trying to get ready for our game vs Pepperdine next Saturday (Jan 31). Due to university policy and MLK Day, we weren’t able to use the field for the past two Mondays, so it’s been tough to work on everything we need to.
I’m not gonna lie, we’re a bit rusty. We’ve got our work cut out for us if we’re gonna be ready for our first game. We’ve got a lot of new guys and a new coach, so we’re working on getting our chemistry down. It may take a few weeks before we’re all on the same page, but we’ve got some talent, so it could be a promising year.
Once I get some more interesting stuff to talk about, I’ll write another post. I don’t want to bore you too much with mundane details from the week.
