CollegeLAX: Where did you first start playing lacrosse?
Mike Coursault (MC): I started in 8th grade playing for Webster Groves High School.

CollegeLAX: Why did you decide to transfer from Wittenberg to Lindenwood?
MC: I transferred to Lindenwood for a couple reasons but mainly to go to school and play ball closer to home.

CollegeLAX: What are some of the differences (good or bad) between NCAA D3 ball and MCLA ball?
MC: There is great competition in both the NCAA and MCLA. Playing NCAA at Wittenberg was a little more intense when it comes to year round training and having two-a-days with our captains. When playing MCLA I get to chance to travel and play at these large schools. I also appreciate all the representation and publicity that the MCLA been getting in the past couple years. They both have their advantages and disadvantages but all in all I’m happy with my decision.

MC: My dad, he always pushed me to work harder and reinforced to me that there’s always room for improvement.

CollegeLAX: What is your current stick of choice?
MC: I have two, a Brine E3 w/ a Warrior Hero shaft and Razor Pro w/ Carolina blue mesh.

CollegeLAX: What is your “pregame ritual”?
MC: Stretching…..I’m not too superstitious.

CollegeLAX: What is your fondest memory on the lacrosse field?
MC: Playing in the State Championship Game

Lindenwood LogoCollegeLAX: Favorite part about playing MCLA lacrosse at your school?
MC: Traveling to all these cool places in the US, playing great competition, and meeting some cool kids.

CollegeLAX: Do you have a lacrosse nickname? Explain.
MC: Salty. My high school lax coach started calling me it because my last name Coursault.

CollegeLAX: Aside from your home field, where is your favorite MCLA venue?
MC: Provo, Utah (BYU). Nothing beats playing lax in the mountains.

CollegeLAX: Aside from your own team’s unis, what is your favorite MCLA uniform?
MC: Tough call, I would have to say University of Oregon. They have cool colors and sweet gear.

CollegeLAX: What would be your superhero power?
MC: To be invisible, haha but then I might get into some trouble.

CollegeLAX: Favorite non-lacrosse Sports team?
MC: Ohio State football (Go BUCKEYES!). Manchester United is a close second.

MC: Well outside of my family, McLovin, Jonny Knoxville, and Jenna Jamison

CollegeLAX: If you could only bring 3 items to a deserted island, what would they be?
MC: Food, water, and booze.

CollegeLAX: What’s your dream job?
MC: To win the lottery and do nothing, or a rock star.

CollegeLAX: Any plans after college?
MC: Yeah, get my masters and while doing that I’ll be coaching lax.

CollegeLAX: Have you ever googled yourself?
MC: Oddly enough I have Googled myself and there’s a couple articles and write ups about my athletics, mainly lacrosse.

CollegeLAX: Rank the Jessica’s (Alba Simpson & Biel in your preferred order)
