Boulder, CO (March 3, 2008) – University of Colorado Head Coach John Galvin announced today that the March 14, 2008 game against Florida State University was canceled.

Due to the financial burden of high-cost travel from Colorado to Florida, coupled with being the lone game scheduled that weekend, the Buffs of CU were forced to cancel the game.

Coach Galvin appreciated Florida State’s understanding of the situation and the agreement to cancel the match-up. “Thanks to Coach Bill Harkins for being a stand-up guy and empathizing with the situation.”

CU (0-1) is next scheduled to meet the Texas Longhorns (5-0) on Saturday, March 8th in Boulder at 7:00 p.m.
