Pacific has informed Portland and Willamette that they will not be honoring their game commitment this weekend. We are very disappointed and hope this does not become a trend, especially given that PNCLL teams have routinely traveled to California. I hope that the rest of our WCLL scheduled teams prove my doubts wrong over the legitimacy of the rest of our schedule.

CAL came out fast Friday night at Maxwell field and defeated UCSB 10 to 6 in a well played game under dry skies. CAL build an early lead, UCSB pulled to 7-5 at one point. CAL's goalie Forest Cheney looked strong in net. A large crowd showed up, include many Gaucho fans, but no tortillas were thrown.
